These terms apply when you add Hearth to a Discord server, use its commands, or sign in to the dashboard. You must also comply with Discord’s own Terms of Service.
What Hearth provides
Moderation, levelling, roles, greetings and related features, on a free plan and a paid plan called Hearth Pro. Hearth is offered as-is and is under active development; features may be added, changed or withdrawn.
Hearth does not guarantee uptime. It depends on Discord, a hosting provider and a database provider, any of which can fail. [DECISION: notice period before withdrawing a paid feature.]
Acceptable use
You may not use Hearth to break Discord’s rules, to harass or harm others, to reach data belonging to servers you do not administer, or to disrupt the service.
Custom scripts. Hearth Pro lets you run JavaScript. You are responsible for what your scripts do in your server. They run in a restricted sandbox with limits on time, memory and actions per run, and cannot reach the host system, the network, or any other server’s data. Those limits protect every server sharing the service and may be adjusted without notice.
Your content
You keep ownership of your messages, templates, scripts and settings, and grant Hearth only the permission needed to store and display them in order to run the service. You are responsible for what you configure.
Paying for Pro
Hearth Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly through Stripe, renewing until cancelled. Prices [SUPPLY: include or exclude tax].
Cancel any time. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the server returns to Free. Payments are not refundable other than where the law requires it.
[DECISION: EU and UK consumers generally have a 14-day withdrawal right that cannot be removed by these terms. This is the term most likely to be unenforceable as drafted.]
Downgrading deletes nothing. Anything over a Free limit stops being enforced rather than removed — fifteen reaction role menus all still exist, you just cannot add more until you are under the cap. Resubscribing restores everything.
Ending this agreement
You may stop using Hearth at any time by removing it from your servers; your data is deleted after 30 days. Hearth may suspend or end access for a breach, or where required by law or by Discord.
Where access is ended without a breach on your part, any unused prepaid period is refunded pro-rata. [DECISION: confirm.]
Liability and governing law
